It is important to take the proper precautions when removing an intergrated fridge, as it can be a large, heavy appliance. Here is what the Modern Living team reccomend you do to remove an intergrated fridge.
– Check that there isn’t a specfic method to removing or replacing your intergrated fridge
– Defrost the fridge by unplugging it, removing all the contents and allowing it to defrost
– Consider how this removal could damage your floors and protect them accordingly
– Slowly lift the refrigerator with a person either side of the appliance
– Use a dolly to move the fridge to whereever you need it to be
One of the few downsides of an intergrated fridge is the slightly difficult installation process.
This is why we strongly advise that you have your intergrated fridge fitted with assistance from the professionals.
It can be done, but typically isn’t. Converting a freestanding fridge to an intergrated one is certainly difficult due to the sizing. More often than not, a freestanding model will be too large to be integrated into a kitchen.integrated
