• Consider the space

Are you working with a large area or a more compact space? Don’t overpower the room by adding too much. Concentrate on quality rather than quantity of fixtures and fittings, in proportion to the space you are working with. A larger room can take oversized pieces, but a smaller space could feel overwhelming if you try to add too much. 

• Who will use the room?

Be practical. A bathroom which serves as your personal spa is very different from a family-friendly bathroom. Consider how many people and how often it will be in use. • Light and Dark

Will your bathroom be lit naturally from a window or is it reliant on lighting fixtures? It’s not a huge consideration, but if your room is naturally dark you might want to steer clear of dark tiles, flooring and fittings. White tiles, with matte black shower and tap fittings look great and will add light to a darker space. Alternatively, you can fit carefully placed lighting, from floor to ceiling, to display a darker choice of decor.

Here at Modern Living, we love the sleek finish of this Scudo bathroom. In fact, we think this modern bathroom design wouldn’t look out of place in a 5-star hotel!

Brushed bronze was the chosen finish for this luxury bathroom. The client opted for the Scudo Koko tall mono basin mixer tap. The shower, also in a brushed bronze finish, was the Scudo Core Round Rigid Riser Shower Kit. We think it looks stunning.

To complete the high-class, minimalist style, the client installed a selection of black wet room panels and a matte black radiator, with matching fixtures and fittings. Clear glass panels with black edging bring the whole look together to create this simply stunning Scudo bathroom.
